Slow food in the Val di Funes, Dolomites
In defiance of the burgeoning ski scene in the nearby valleys of Alta Badia, the inhabitants of the Val di Funes have until recently evaded the tourist radar, preferring a more traditional existence. And yet this has heralded its recognition as the South Tyrol’s first Slow Food Travel destination, turning a spotlight on the valley’s uniquely high-quality and sustainable gastronomy.
